$10,000 Grant Awarded to continue the work with burn survivors in
   2010

Nancy and the team of volunteer therapists work at Camp Amigo in July
2006 resulted in a published research paper on therapeutic massage and
its effect on burn survivors’ scar tissue.  The research concluded that
therapeutic massage did have an effect on scar tissue and range of motion
and concluded that more study was needed.  In 2009 a grant proposal
was funded for the 2010 calendar year by the Muscular Therapy Institute
Foundation to expand this evidence based research program.
